Todos los que le conocen hablan maravillas de su familia, su gran apoyo para que llegase a cumplir su sueño. “Esta mañana me llamó mi madre, que no había dormido de los nervios por el partido. Le dije que el que tenía que estar nervioso era yo”, dijo Bryan tras el encuentro ante el Barcelona. Porque su familia ha sido un pilar fundamental para que Bryan siga con los pies en el suelo. “Venían a todos los partidos con el filial”, dice Torrecilla. Coincide el presidente de Conejitos de Málaga, Miguel González: “Era una familia muy normal”. Y él admira a Messi y Vinicius: “Se van cuando quieren”.

Torrecilla, quien mejor le conoce
Un fichaje inesperado porque, cuando Bryan salió del Conejitos de Málaga, su primera opción no fue el Granada. Torrecilla nos cuenta cómo llegó a la ciudad de la Alhambra: “Nos vino como de rebote. Lo teníamos visto. Fue a hacer una prueba al Betis, no la pasa y queda libre. Como lo habíamos visto con la red de scouting tomamos la determinación de que viniera con nosotros. Pega el salto en el juvenil A y el filial”. Así conoció a uno de los jugadores que más han crecido de su mano: “Es una persona excelente, que se rodea siempre de su familia. Tiene su novia, que se ha echado en Granada, y vive con ella. Es una excelencia de niño. Se ha dejado guiar y aconsejar, que creo que es fundamental. Y tiene los pies en el suelo, y eso es fundamental para conseguir lo que está consiguiendo”. Fueron unos años en los que Torrecilla consiguió sacar su mejor versión. Una versión que ha ido puliendo año a año: “Ha mejorado muchísimo. Uno de sus defectos era que a nivel defensivo se perdía; nos costó hacer un trabajo individualizado para la mejora de replegar, ganar duelos… pero un futbolista no lo puede tener todo, no puede ser completo al máximo. Su virtud es la de desbordar. A nivel defensivo pone de su parte y ha mejorado muchísimo, pero con el cuerpo que tiene no puede ser un futbolista, que gane duelos a nivel defensivo. Es en el ataque donde se ve que es diferencial”.
